Profile
Have always sought to gift technology users with an appreciation & understanding for their products. To resolve their issues while educating throughout the process.
Over the course of my career, I have had the opportunity to carry out my goal in higher education classroom environments, small business consulting opportunities, the hectic Apple Store retail environment, and in large business & enterprise.

Computer Village - Apple Premiere Specialist
On-Site Support Technician & Remote Support Rep
2012-2014
Support local businesses and residents in the form of in-store software repairs on Mac and Windows systems, as well as hardware repairs on Apple products
While Computer Village had Facebook and Twitter accounts already, they were underutilized and not updated for months at a time. Took over both accounts during my time there and used localized searches to seek potential customers who had issues with Apple’s Genius Bar or were posting complaints about products that we carried or serviced. Was able to reach out and provide support, in some cases directly leading to in-store traffic as a result.
Set up and troubleshoot new & existing networks in large homes and businesses
In addition to the lifetime Apple Certified Mac Technician certificate, kept up on additional mini-certifications known as “Qualifications” for each new model of Apple’s computers in order to be granted access to order parts and start repairs from Apple’s internal GSX system
Use specialized applications to keep track of in-store and on-site inventory and to help support systems set up at local businesses (including small business, franchises, and hospitals) on an ongoing basis
Regularly met with members of Apple’s corporate teams from Austin and Cupertino and despite Computer Village being around since the mid 70’s, was able to bring up both the volume of repairs as well as the customer feedback (in the form of repair surveys) enough to meet Apple’s requirement to label the store a Premium Apple Service Provider

For our first few months as a new store, before repair value picked up, also assisted other teams on the sales floor, stepping in for customer service issues, and teaching 1 hour classes in the mornings at our “Creative Bar”
In the "Genius" role, provided hardware and software support for MacOS & iOS as well as for Apple-related issues on Windows systems
Consistently earned highest customer feedback numbers and highest volume of customers seen at the bar each week.
Completed repairs on Mac systems after store closing. Worked on all laptop and desktop models, in addition to working on iPhone repairs throughout the day.

HOBBIES
Started Jeffgarden.com in 1999 (originally under a different URL, ChrisCornell.cc) and have kept the site updated now for 20 years.
Currently (2021/2022) averaging 3,000 unique visitors per month. The corresponding Twitter account for the site has just under 4,000 followers, while the Instagram for the site has just under 2,000 followers (the Facebook Page is relatively newer but also shows thousands of interactions in the weekly reports as it continues to build new followers every day).
The site is dedicated to the Seattle-based rock band Soundgarden, and has enabled us to meet the band over the years, as well as having the opportunity to have photo passes and press passes to several Chris Cornell solo concerts, Soundgarden shows, and different music festivals.
Our photos and videos have been featured on the band’s social media pages as well as in online articles for Billboard, Rolling Stone, and other publications.
As recently as 2019, we have conducted our own new interviews with Soundgarden’s photographer, and the author of a forthcoming official biography of Chris Cornell.
Prominently featured (photography and write-ups) in a coffee table book called Photofantasm - which chronicles Soundgarden’s reunion and touring from 2010 through 2014), credited with videography on the official DVD release from the band Temple of the Dog, and will be receiving credit in the Chris Cornell biography that is due to be released next year.
Have built up a personal fan page to become a well known part of the Soundgarden legacy.
