“Every time I listen to a Soundgarden record, I discover something new inside of it.”
In a new interview with Rick Beato, The Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen says the hardest part of fronting Soundgarden isn’t hitting Chris Cornell’s notes but keeping up with the band’s shifting time signatures, which only reveal themselves once you have to actually perform the songs. Momsen has since sung with Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd at the 2019 I Am The Highway tribute, the 2022 Taylor Hawkins tribute, the band’s 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction and the Seahawks’ season-opening halftime show on September 9.
